Average temperature was 30.1 compared to normal of 36.2. Precipitation was 1.54 inches compared to normal of 2.39. Precipitation year to date is 34.28 inches compared to normal of 32.74 inches.

October Weather Data

Average temperature was 49.9 degrees compared to normal of 48.9 degrees.  Precipitation was 3.09 inches compared to normal of 2.4 inches.  Precipitation year to date was 32.74 inches compared to normal of 30.35 inches.

First freeze

The temperature officially got down to 31 last night, although I don't think it was that low at our house.  First temperature below 32 since April 23rd.

September Weather Data

Average temperature was 60.6 degrees compared to normal of 70 degrees.  Precipitation was 1.84 inches compared to normal of 3.13 inches.  Precipitation year to date is 29.65 inches compared to normal of 27.95 inches.

Snow!

Six days ago I was sitting out on the deck in shorts and a t-shirt,  I even got a mosquito bite, and this morning it is snowing!

Fall Planting

The front impatiens were done for the  year, so we took them out and planted mums in the larger bed. We planted daffodils by the mailbox and tulips in the other front beds. Should be nice in the spring!

The forget me nots didn't make it in the corner of the back garden, so we planted a Heuchera we found at Home Depot. It should do well in the partial shade.

It's still technically summer!
