First snow!

We got about 3 inches of snow yesterday, unfortunately I missed seeing it because we were in Pittsburgh. (Where it was 50 and raining...)

November weather

This November average temperature was 38.1, normal is 36.2. Precipitation this November was .09 inches, normal is 2.39. Still down almost 9 inches for the year.

December 3rd 2012

Early December

Warm weather! Starting to decorate for Christmas and the temperature is in the upper 50s! Low 60s forecast for tomorrow.

Warm day today, high in the mid 60s! Jon mowed the lawn one last time yesterday. Ready for winter now, I hope it's short and warm...

Impatiens Garden

I pulled out the impatiens today, they were looking really spindly. I counted 18-20 in the smaller beds and 72 in the larger one. That will be the perfect amount to plant next year!

August Weather

Average temperature was 70.4, compared to normal of 69.2. Precipitation was 1.58 inches compared to normal of 4.27 inches.

Early August Update

Now that it has been raining again, everything looks fantastic!  The only thing not really thriving is the cucumber plant, it may not be getting enough sun.

July Weather

This July the average temperature was 79.4, compared to the normal of 71.3. Precipitation was 4 inches, compared to the normal of 4.18.

Finally we are getting some rain, yahoo!

Mid-July Update

We are still in the middle of a drought, and about to have another heat wave with temperatures in the high 90s.  But the vegetables are starting to produce, and everything is looking great!

June Weather

The average temperature this June was 71.6, compared to the normal average of 67. We had 0.31 inches of rain, compared to the average of 4.54 inches.

Right now we are in the middle of what is expected to be an 11 day streak of temperatures over 90 degrees!

End of June Update

The gardens are looking great, thanks to our Mister Landscaper for watering.  Jon has also been running the sprinklers on the lawn each morning -  the weather has been very hot and very dry, it was the driest June on record, and highs in the 90s are normal right now.
